LISCR, LLC, (LISCR) the Liberian International Ship & Corporate Registry (the Liberian Registry)
LICSR is responsible for managing the Liberian Ship and Corporate Registries under the authority of the Liberian legislature. According to the governing statute, it is mandated that the owners of LICSR must be United States Nationals, both legally and beneficially.
The Role of the LISCR Trust Company
According to Liberian law, similar to the laws of states such as Delaware and New York, a non-resident corporation without a place of business in Liberia must have a registered agent. The LISCR Trust Company is the only entity authorized by statute to provide this service and is managed by LISCR. As the registered agent, The LISCR Trust Company also provides the registered office for each non-resident corporation under the Associations Law of Liberia.
A Marine Surveyor Consultant, acting as a Business Development Representative, can offer valuable support in facilitating the transition of ship registries to the Liberia Registry for both ship owners and technical operators. This support can include providing guidance and assistance throughout the process, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and promoting the benefits of registering under the Liberian flag. Such a consultant can help streamline the transition and ensure a smooth and successful registration process for the clients.
